Chronicling My Day, or, How The Cat Drove Me To Madness

4:16 pm: since Little Roux is with her daddy today, I’m self-cleaning the oven. it stinks like burning dinner, so I’ve moved from the living room to the sunroom. the wireless way out here is spotty as hell, but my evil kitty is all curled up on the couch beside me like he’s a real kitty.

4:23 pm: he’s all fluffy and purring by my side and I’m like, wait….is this a trap?

7:50 pm: my kitty has been cuddly all day long…..I wonder if he plans to kill me tonight

7:54 pm: he’s all curled up on my legs right now……he looks like he’s asleep, but every time I move or make a noise his ears turn like radar…..I know he’s awake.

8:12 pm: That’s what I see when I lift my laptop.

8:15 pm: MY CAT IS TERRIFYING.

8:38 pm: dude, seriously. I got up to go get my water from the sunroom. the cat was just lying there in the foyer doorway. watching me.

I walked down the hall and got my water, then turned around and there he sat in the sunroom doorway. watching.

8:40 pm: if you never hear from me again. the cat did it.

8:49 pm: I am locked in a psychological battle with a cat.

and I’m losing.

9:14 pm: he’s…seriously, he’s lurking behind my chair now. he knows it makes me nervous!

9:17pm: he’s stalking me. studying his prey! HELP

I told you how he discovered that my knee is the weakest point, right? now when he attacks, he hits me from behind and just hurls his weight at my knee. brings me down every time

It’s either coming off the pain meds, or I’m a little post-release punch drunk, but I watched this and laughed for a solid minute. I knew what was going to happen because I’ve watched it happen in my house so many times, but still laughed like a crazy person.
